Flight to Fiumicino airport Rome (ITALY)

 

Day 09/15/2025 ( Monday ): Fiumicino – Napoli

Transfer by coach from the Rome airport to Caserta. After a stop along the way, we’ll arrive in Caserta. Guided tour of the famous Bourbon Palace, masterpiece of the architect Vanvitelli, and its wonderful park. Arrival at the hotel in Naples. Dinner included with 3 nights stay. D. B.

 

Day 09/16/2025 ( Tuesday ): Capri

Breakfast at the hotel, then, by boat, we’ll depart for Capri. Tour of the island by minibus. Stop in Anacapri, visit the lookout with an incredible view of the mall. After lunch (included), visit Capri, its square, the famous meeting point of the International Society and the Gardens of Augustus, from where one can enjoy super views of the coast between the cliffs and the small marina. Enjoy some leisure time and descend to the port.  Arriving in the evening at the hotel. L. B.

 

Day 09/17/2025 ( Wednesday ): Pompei - Amalfi Coast  

Breakfast at the hotel, then depart for Pompei. Guided tour to Pompei, one of the most fascinating archeological museums in the world. After Pompei, we continue to the Amalfi Coast, one of the most popular tourists stops in Italy. Stop in Positano to visit this charming fishing village. After Positano, weather and sea conditions permitting, ride a private boat to Amalfi to admire the splendor of the coast from the sea. Visit the Amalfi Cathedral and the picturesque square. We will then enjoy lunch (included). In the late afternoon, we return to the hotel. L. B.

 

Day 09/18/2025 ( Thursday ): Rome 

Breakfast at the hotel, then we’ll depart for Rome. After a break along the way, we’ll arrive in Rome to meet with a local guide to visit "Ancient Rome", the Coliseum, Via dei Fori Imperali, the Arch of Costantino.  Late afternoon we’ll arrive at our hotel. Accommodations for 2 nights with dinner. D. B.

 

Day 09/19/2025 ( Friday ): Rome 

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning tour Vatican City with a local guide. We will tour the Vatican museums including the Sistine Chapel, a masterpiece of Michelangelo during the Italian Renaissance. We will visit the basilica of St. Peter, the most important and largest church of Christendom in the heart of the Catholic world. Lunch and free time (on your own) in the center of  Rome: Piazza di Spagna, Via del Corso, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza Navona. Return to the hotel for dinner. D. B.

 

Day 09/20/2025 ( Saturday ): Siena  

Breakfast at the hotel, then we depart for Siena. Lunch (on your own) at an autogrille. Walking tour with a guide, we’ll visit the city famous for the Palio, the Cathedral, Piazza del Campo, St. Dominico, St. Catherine and Porta Romana. Late afternoon we’ll arrive at our hotel. Accommodations for 4 nights with dinners . D. B.

 

Day 09/21/2025 ( Sunday ): Florence

Breakfast at the hotel, then we’ll depart for Florence where we will meet with the local guide for a walking tour. The morning is dedicated to visit the city, Piazza Duomo, the Baptistery. After lunch (on your own), you will have free time to see the Piazza Signoria, Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo Pitti. In the late afternoon, return to the hotel for dinner. D. B.

 

Day 09/22/2025 ( Monday ): Assisi

Breakfast at the hotel, then we’ll depart for Assisi. The day is dedicated to a guided walking tour of Assisi, one of the major religious centers of Italy. We will visit the oldest part of the city, the Cathedral of San Ruffino, the Basilica of Santa Chiara, the temple of Minerva and the Basilica of San Fransesco. After lunch (included) at a local restaurant, free time. In the late afternoon, we’ll return to the hotel. L. B.    

 

Day 09/23/2025 ( Tuesday ): Volterra – San Gimignano

Breakfast at the hotel, then we’ll depart for Volterra. Guided walking tour of the characteristic medieval center where it is still possible to enjoy the atmosphere of an ancient village: Piazza and Palazzo dei Priori, the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Art Gallery and Civic Museum. Lunch (on your own). In the afternoon, we’ll continue to San Gimignano, the "City of Towers" on a walking tour of the Cathedral, Porta S. Giovanni, Piazza della Cisterna, Palazzo del Popolo. Late afternoon, we return to the hotel for dinner. D. B.

 

Day 09/24/2025 ( Wednesday ): Golfo del Tiguglio – La Spezia

Breakfast at the hotel, then we’ll depart for Liguria. Lunch (on your own) at an autogrille. In Rapallo, where we’ll start the tour by boat, to Golfo del Tiguglio. Stop in Portofino, where you will have free time. In the afternoon we continue by boat toward the view of Santa Margherita Ligure, then return to Rapallo. Late afternoon, we arrive at our hotel in La Spezia. Accommodations for 2 nights with dinner. D. B.

Day 09/25/2025 ( Thursday ): Cinque Terre

Breakfast at the hotel, then we’ll depart for 3 of the 5 towns that make up Cinque Terre by boat: Manarola, Vernazza and Monterosso. The first stop we’ll tour Manarola and then continue to Vernazza, a beautiful medieval village and then we’ll continue to Monterosso. From there we’ll stop for lunch (on your own). In the afternoon, by boat we continue to Portovenere. There we can admire many unique and characteristic places on the cliffs overlooking the sea, like old fishing villages that have preserved the medieval urban layout. In Portovenere enjoy free time to visit this beautiful village. We’ll return by boat to the port of La Spezia, and return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.  D.  B.

 

Day 09/26/2025 ( Friday ): Verona – Padova

Breakfast at the hotel, then we’ll depart for Verona. Here we’ll meet the local guide for the walking tour. Verona, the city of love, where Shakespeare staged the most famous love story in the world, Romeo and Juliet. View the outside of the Arena, the Roman amphitheater that hosts the largest open-air opera in the world. After lunch (on your own), we depart from Verona to arrive in Padova. Accommodations for 2 nights with dinner. D. B.

Day 09/27/2025 ( Saturday ): Venice

Breakfast at the hotel and depart for Venice. Meet with the local tour guide and a morning walking tour to the historic center, Piazza San Marco, the Doge's Palace, etc. Excursion by private boat to the islands of Murano and Burano, lunch (on your own) in Burano. Murano is famous for glassware and Burano for the craft of lace. Return to hotel in the evening for dinner.  D.B.

 

Day 09/28/2025 ( Sunday ): Flight to USA

Breakfast at the hotel, then transfer to Venice airport for the flight home to Philadelphia.
